TaskUs India has announced a major electric vehicle (EV) transport initiative designed to transform employee commuting and significantly reduce its carbon footprint across the country. The global outsourcing and customer experience firm has kicked off this sustainability drive with a phased rollout of EVs at its facilities, focusing initially on its Gurugram operations.

The new programme was officially launched at the TaskUs Mystiqa site in Gurugram, where nearly 20 per cent of the current employee transportation fleet will be replaced with electric vehicles in the first phase. The company has set an ambitious target to expand this transition, aiming to electrify up to 45–50 per cent of its Indian commute fleet by the end of 2026.

Under the plan, TaskUs expects to deploy approximately 100 EVs by July 2026, followed by a scale-up to 300 electric vehicles by the end of the year. This gradual expansion reflects the company’s broader commitment to environmental sustainability and aligns with India’s growing EV adoption wave.

TaskUs India highlighted that more than 35 per cent of its workforce, who currently use company-provided transport, will benefit directly from the electrified commute system. Each EV added to the fleet is estimated to reduce around 3.2 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually, with the entire initiative expected to cut nearly 360 metric tonnes of CO₂ in its first year of operation.

Senior Vice President and Country Leader, India, Sapna Bhambani, said the EV programme reflects the company’s “people-first ethos” and reinforces its broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. She noted that lowering carbon and noise pollution in urban centres where TaskUs operates is a core part of its sustainability strategy.

TaskUs also emphasised India’s importance in its global operations, noting that the country is its second-largest operations base with over 15,000 employees across six cities. The company has been recognised as a Great Place to Work for 2025 and among the Top 10 Inspiring Workplaces in Asia, showcasing its focus on both employee experience and eco-responsibility.
