ThunderPlus, an Indian electric vehicle charging infrastructure provider, has announced a new collaboration with IndoFast Energy to roll out integrated EV energy hubs across India. This initiative will combine ThunderPlus’s public charging stations with IndoFast Energy’s battery swapping network to offer combined energy solutions for EV users.

Under the agreement, IndoFast Energy will deploy its advanced battery swapping stations within existing and future ThunderPlus charging hubs. The aim of these integrated energy hubs is to give EV owners the flexibility of using either fast charging or quick battery swaps at a common location.

ThunderPlus operates a growing network of electric vehicle charging stations nationwide, focusing on expanding infrastructure for a range of EV users. By integrating battery swapping from IndoFast Energy into these hubs, the combined model seeks to reduce waiting time and improve convenience, especially for two‑wheelers and three‑wheelers.

IndoFast Energy, a company building India’s battery swapping infrastructure, has been rapidly expanding its swap station network across key cities. Its swap technology enables users to quickly exchange depleted batteries for fully charged ones, offering an alternative to waiting at chargers for long periods.

Industry observers say that bringing charging and swapping under one roof can help overcome two common challenges in electric mobility — range anxiety and downtime — which are important for everyday EV adoption in Indian cities and logistics fleets.

This partnership between ThunderPlus and IndoFast Energy is part of a broader effort by private companies operating in India’s EV ecosystem to make energy access more seamless and user‑friendly as the country accelerates its transition to electric transport.
