Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched its TDRIVE motor vehicle training initiative in partnership with Patni Toyota in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The launch marks the first introduction of TDRIVE in the state and will establish the facility as a regional motor vehicle training hub for Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions.

The initiative is part of TKM’s efforts to promote road safety and encourage responsible driving practices. The Raipur facility is designed to provide structured training focused on developing driving skills and improving awareness of safe and disciplined driving.

The inauguration was attended by Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor; Sachin Sharma, Vice President – East Region, Sales, Service and Used Car, TKM; and Umesh Patni, Dealer Principal, Patni Toyota, along with other representatives from Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Patni Toyota.

TDRIVE combines classroom-based instruction with simulator sessions and supervised on-road training. The simulator sessions are conducted using an actual vehicle, while the on-road training helps participants transition from simulated driving conditions to real-world driving situations.

The programme is aligned with Toyota’s “Safe Society” philosophy and focuses on disciplined driving practices and road-safety awareness. TKM said the Patni Toyota facility will serve as a regional hub and support the company’s stated vision of working towards zero road fatalities across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions.

The Raipur launch also adds to Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s nationwide network of driving schools and training facilities. Through the TDRIVE initiative, TKM is expanding its motor vehicle training presence while continuing its focus on responsible driving and road-safety awareness.
