Electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has partnered with Bolt.Earth to significantly expand India’s fast-charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers. The companies have now crossed the milestone of installing more than 130 Type-6 DC fast chargers across the country, achieving the target ahead of schedule and strengthening EV accessibility for riders.
The collaboration was initially announced with a plan to deploy 50 fast chargers during the first phase. However, due to rising demand for electric mobility and growing adoption of premium electric motorcycles, the network expanded much faster than expected. The chargers are now operational across multiple states including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal.
The newly deployed charging stations are designed specifically for lightweight electric vehicles and high-performance electric motorcycles. The Type-6 DC fast chargers support faster charging times and are compatible with Ultraviolette’s electric motorcycle lineup, including the popular F77 model. This development is expected to improve long-distance EV travel and reduce charging concerns among riders.
Both companies stated that the charging network has been strategically installed across important urban locations, highways, and EV corridors to ensure better convenience for customers. Riders can easily locate charging stations, access charging details, and make digital payments through the integrated mobile applications provided by Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth.
Bolt.Earth has also announced ambitious future expansion plans to further strengthen India’s EV charging ecosystem. The company aims to deploy nearly 10,000 Type-6 DC fast chargers over the next two years, helping create one of the country’s largest interoperable charging networks for electric two-wheelers and sustainable transportation.
The achievement highlights the rapid growth of India’s electric mobility sector and the increasing importance of reliable charging infrastructure. As EV adoption continues to rise across the country, partnerships like Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth are expected to play a major role in supporting cleaner transportation and accelerating India’s transition toward sustainable mobility.
