Volvo Car India has inaugurated an ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station on the Mumbai–Nashik Highway in partnership with ChargeZone. The new facility aims to strengthen highway EV infrastructure and support long-distance electric mobility in the region.
The charging station is equipped with a 360 kW ultra-fast charging system designed to significantly reduce charging time for electric vehicles. The high-capacity setup is expected to enhance convenience for EV owners travelling between Mumbai and Nashik, one of Maharashtra’s key road corridors.
Strategically located along the busy highway stretch near Igatpuri, the facility is positioned to serve both city commuters and intercity travellers. The installation reflects Volvo’s commitment to expanding accessible and reliable charging support for its electric vehicle customers.
The station has been developed as part of Volvo Car India’s broader efforts to encourage EV adoption in the country. By collaborating with ChargeZone, the company aims to improve charging accessibility across important travel routes.
