Zuperia Auto Private Limited (ZAPL), formerly known as Lohia Auto, has unveiled ‘Youdha’, a new brand targeting the mass-market electric vehicle (EV) segment in India. This strategic move aims to broaden the company’s reach, focusing on mobility entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and independent drivers.

Transition from Lohia Auto to Zuperia Auto

After over 16 years in the EV industry, Lohia Auto has rebranded to Zuperia Auto Pvt. Ltd. The company will continue offering vehicles under the “Lohia” brand, focusing on the premium segment, while “Youdha” will cater to the mass-market electric three-wheeler segment.

‘Youdha’ Brand: Empowering the Mass Market

The name ‘Youdha’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yodha’, meaning warrior, symbolizing resilience and determination. The brand’s logo combines elements of a warrior’s shield and an electric charging socket, reflecting its focus on electric three-wheelers.

Product Portfolio and Sales Targets

Youdha’s initial lineup includes passenger and cargo electric three-wheelers, such as the E5 Passenger and E5 Cargo models. The company aims to manufacture and sell 300,000 units by 2027, with the passenger model starting at ₹3.80 lakh and offering a range of 160 kilometers.

Strengthening Dealer Network and Production Capacity

ZAPL operates a network of over 120 dealerships across India and has an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles. The company plans to expand its dealer network to support the growing demand for its electric three-wheelers.

Commitment to Sustainable Mobility

By introducing ‘Youdha’, ZAPL reaffirms its commitment to sustainable mobility solutions, aiming to make electric three-wheelers accessible to a broader audience and contribute to India’s transition to clean energy transportation.
