GAC Group has rolled out its electric SUV, the AION V, in Finland marking its third European market entry. The move deepens its push into the continent and underscores China’s growing footprint in the EV space.
This launch aligns with GAC’s broader “European Market Plan,” which took shape after a global partnership was struck with Inchcape at the the 2024 Paris Motor Show. Under this alliance, Inchcape will leverage its sales and service network to support GAC’s growth across Europe Finland is the first market under this arrangement.
In Finland, GAC is emphasizing values like sustainability, safety, and spacious design to resonate with local buyer sensibilities. The AION V has earned a five-star rating in the 2025 Euro NCAP safety tests, reinforcing its credentials in vehicle safety.
On performance, the AION V offers a WLTP range of 510 km on a single charge and supports ultra-fast charging it can go from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. Finland’s growing EV charging infrastructure helps to reduce range-anxiety concerns.
For GAC, the Finnish debut is a proving ground. Success here may pave the way for expansion into more European markets under its cooperation with Inchcape.
