Kia India has announced a significant upgrade to its aftersales offering: the Extended Warranty programme is now being expanded from 5 years to a full 7 years. This enhancement is applicable to both new buyers and existing owners of its key models, reaffirming the company’s commitment to long-term customer confidence.

Under this upgraded scheme, existing customers holding a 5-year extended warranty can opt to upgrade to the 7-year plan (i.e. 5 + 2 years) at a cost starting from INR 32,170 (excluding taxes). Meanwhile, new customers of the eligible models—such as the Kia Seltos, Sonet, Syros, and Carens—can purchase the 7-year extended warranty package beginning at INR 47,249 (excluding taxes).

The extended warranty will be made available through Kia’s authorised dealerships across India. It covers unforeseen mechanical and electrical issues that may emerge after the standard warranty expires, offering reassurance, lowering long-term servicing costs, and enhancing resale potential.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Kia India, commented on the move, saying:

“By extending our warranty coverage up to 7 years for both new and existing customers, we reaffirm our confidence in the durability and quality of our vehicles … this initiative reflects our ongoing promise to deliver exceptional ownership experience and long-term value to every Kia customer.”

Kia India has in recent years rolled out a number of customer-centric measures to elevate brand experience and aftersales satisfaction. The introduction of a 7-year extended warranty places the brand among the few in India offering such comprehensive long-term coverage in the mass-premium segment.

Overall, this initiative reinforces Kia’s positioning as a customer-first automaker. By shouldering ownership risks beyond the usual warranty window, the company aims to deliver greater peace of mind and foster stronger loyalty among its user base.
