Sorigin RE Services has secured its first standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion into the energy storage segment. The project highlights the growing importance of battery storage in supporting India’s renewable energy transition.
The project has a total capacity of 250 MW / 500 MWh and will be developed across two locations, Giral and Suratgarh in Rajasthan. The installation is aimed at strengthening grid flexibility and enabling better integration of renewable energy sources.
Under this project, Sorigin RE Services will provide complete Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services. This includes system design, equipment supply, installation, and commissioning of the battery storage infrastructure.
The Battery Energy Storage System will help store excess renewable energy and supply it during peak demand periods. This will improve power reliability and help balance fluctuations in renewable energy generation.
This development reflects the increasing demand for standalone energy storage projects in India as the country continues to expand its renewable energy capacity. Battery storage is becoming a key solution for improving grid stability and energy efficiency.
With this project, Sorigin RE Services strengthens its position in the energy storage sector while contributing to India’s clean energy goals and the development of advanced power infrastructure.
