Renewable energy company Avaada Group is strengthening its clean energy presence in Uttar Pradesh with new solar and battery storage projects aimed at boosting sustainable power generation across the state. The company plans to develop additional renewable infrastructure, including large-scale solar plants and advanced battery-backed energy systems to support rising electricity demand.
As part of its expansion strategy, Avaada Energy will establish an 85 MW solar power project in Chitrakoot with an estimated investment of nearly ₹250 crore. The upcoming project is expected to be developed on around 200 acres of leased government land and construction activities are likely to begin later this year. The solar plant is targeted for commissioning by 2027.
The company is also increasing its manufacturing footprint in the state by planning integrated solar manufacturing facilities in Greater Noida and Hathras. These facilities are expected to have a production capacity of around 6 GW to 7 GW and will cover the complete solar module manufacturing value chain. Avaada already operates a 1.5 GW TOPCon solar module manufacturing unit in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.
In addition to solar generation, Avaada Energy is developing a major Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Uttar Pradesh. Under this initiative, the company will supply 590 MW of renewable energy supported by a large battery energy storage system with a capacity of 2,500 MWh. The project is designed to ensure reliable electricity supply during peak demand hours.
According to company officials, the renewable power generated from these projects will mainly serve industrial and commercial consumers through long-term power purchase agreements. The battery storage integration will also help stabilize power delivery and improve grid reliability, especially during evening peak demand periods between 6 PM and midnight.
Avaada Group continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio across India with investments in solar, wind, storage, and green fuel projects. The company has crossed 17.7 GWp in total renewable capacity portfolio, including operational and under-construction projects, further strengthening its role in India’s clean energy transition and carbon reduction goals.
