Revolt Motors, a wholly owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, has secured an order from Bihar Police to supply 1,100 BlazeX electric motorcycles for patrolling operations. The order marks an expansion of the company’s institutional business and extends the use of its electric motorcycles beyond individual customers to public-sector mobility and law enforcement.
The order represents an opportunity for Revolt Motors to expand its presence in the institutional electric mobility segment. According to the company, the deployment could encourage other state police forces, defence organisations, government departments and public-sector undertakings to consider electric motorcycles for their two-wheeler fleets.
The Revolt BlazeX offers a claimed riding range of up to 150 km on a single charge and can be charged using a standard 10A power socket. It also features a removable battery, providing an additional charging option. The motorcycle has under-seat storage that can accommodate its charger, allowing it to be carried when required.
The electric motorcycle also comes with built-in GPS functionality to support vehicle tracking. Revolt Motors highlighted charging accessibility, riding range and everyday usability as important considerations for institutional fleets. The company also stated that electric motorcycles can offer lower running and maintenance costs compared with petrol-powered alternatives, potentially reducing operating expenses for organisations managing large fleets.
Commenting on the order, Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, said securing the order for 1,100 electric motorcycles from Bihar Police was a significant step for Revolt Motors. She highlighted institutional mobility as an important opportunity for the company, adding that large-scale engagements allow its products to be used in real-world operating environments.
The motorcycles are scheduled to be delivered in Patna. The order has a contractual completion timeline of January 2027, while Revolt Motors is working towards completing deliveries by November 2026. The company said its existing presence in India’s electric motorcycle market is supported by a community of more than 60,000 riders and a dealership network of over 182 outlets across the country.
