Tata Power has installed new EV charging stations in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The projects aim to increase EV connectivity throughout the region by improving accessibility between major cities like Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur as well as the road from Ballia to Lucknow. This growth is a component of Tata Power’s broader plan to establish a strong and sustainable EV ecosystem, encouraging environmentally friendly modes of mobility throughout the area.
The first two 30kW chargers in the new network will be run by Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia and the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh. These locations are crucial rest breaks for EV drivers going 130 kilometers. Additionally, a 60kW fast charger at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow and a 30kW charger at Motel Nh56 in Sultanpur complete the corridor, increasing the travel options for EV users. More individuals in the state will embrace electric vehicles as a result of this infrastructural improvement, which will also greatly lessen range anxiety.
This initiative shows Tata Power’s commitment to getting India ready for EVs by bridging the infrastructure gap and expanding its network of EZ Charges. Tata Power plans to deploy more than 5,500 charging stations in 550 municipalities and more than 100,000 home chargers in an effort to meet the country’s growing demand for electric vehicles. The network has more than 1,100 bus charging stations and serves major cities including Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai.
