Northeast Frontier Railway Invites Solar EV Charging Tender Bids

Northeast Frontier Railway has invited bids for the supply of materials required to establish a solar electric vehicle charging point for battery-operated platform trucks. The limited indigenous tender has been issued under Tender No. DB265594 by Dy.CMM/DBRT on behalf of the President of India.

The procurement process will be conducted electronically through the Indian Railways E-Procurement System, and manual submission of bids will not be accepted. The tender was published on Aug. 22, 2026, at 1:48 p.m., with the deadline for bid submission set for Aug. 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.

Bids submitted for the tender will remain valid for 90 days from the closing date. No Earnest Money Deposit or tender document fee has been specified. The primary schedule also does not separately mention a Performance Bank Guarantee or Security Deposit.

The procurement covers one non-stock item set intended for SSE/EMWS/DBWS under Northeast Frontier Railway in Assam. The selected supplier will be required to begin delivery immediately after the contract is issued and complete the supply within seven days.

The materials supplied under the contract will carry a warranty of 30 months from the date of delivery. Payment will be made in full after the materials are received, accepted and successfully applied, according to the tender conditions.

Manufacturers or their authorized agents that have completed at least one similar order equivalent to 20% or more of the tender quantity during the previous five financial years will receive preference under the eligibility conditions. Other vendors with verified manufacturing capability may be considered for developmental orders of up to 20% of the procurable quantity. Bidders must also hold valid GST registration, comply with the Government of India’s Public Procurement (Make in India) policy and submit the required self-certified declaration.
