Ather Energy is preparing to showcase its all-new electric scooter platform, codenamed “EL,” at its annual Community Day event scheduled for late August. The Bengaluru-based EV maker has maintained a tradition of major product reveals during this event, making the emergence of the EL platform highly anticipated.
The EL platform is engineered to support a versatile and cost-efficient lineup of two-wheelers. According to Ather, this new architecture is pivotal to expanding the brand’s market reach by enabling models that cater to a wider and more budget-conscious customer base.
Complementing the hardware launch, Ather plans to debut its enhanced fast-charging infrastructure, branded as the next-generation Grid chargers. These upgrades aim to deliver quicker, more efficient charging experiences for both Ather scooters and compatible third-party EVs.
Alongside the EL hardware overhaul, Ather will introduce its latest software platform, Stack 7.0. This upgrade succeeds Stack 6.0 and is expected to offer improved connectivity, enriched ride data, and interface enhancements tailored to the new scooter generation.
In addition to these core offerings, Ather will present a range of concept scooters built on the EL architecture. While detailed specifications are yet to be disclosed, these prototypes will offer a glimpse of the design language and strategic direction the company intends to pursue.
Ather’s Community Day 2025, themed “Technology that works like magic,” builds on the success of the previous edition held in April 2024 — where the company unveiled the Rizta, Halo smart helmet, and Stack 6.0. This year’s iteration may mark a considerable shift for Ather as it moves to capture new segments with more affordable EV offerings.
