Bajaj Auto launched the new Bajaj Chetak C25 electric scooter in India, marking the most affordable addition to its Chetak electric vehicle lineup. The scooter has been priced at ₹91,399 (ex-showroom) and is aimed at expanding the brand’s reach into budget-friendly urban EV segments.
Positioned as a city-centric model, the Chetak C25 is powered by a 2.5 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of about 113 kilometres on a single charge, making it suitable for short daily commutes and dense urban traffic conditions.
The new electric scooter delivers a top speed of around 55 km/h, reflecting its focus on everyday city use rather than high-speed performance. It supports relatively fast charging, with the battery able to reach 0-80% charge in around 2 hours 25 minutes using the supplied charger.
Design and practicality are key features of the C25, which uses the signature metal body construction that Bajaj’s Chetak range is known for and offers 25 litres of under-seat storage, a useful touch for everyday errands. The scooter comes in multiple colour options to appeal to a broad range of riders.
Bajaj Auto has also equipped the Chetak C25 with features like hill-hold assist, guide-me-home lighting and disc brakes, enhancing rider convenience and safety for urban journeys.
With this launch, Bajaj Auto aims to strengthen its position in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market, offering a more accessible entry point for new EV buyers while leveraging the established Chetak brand reputation.
