This World Environment Day, electric mobility platform Bijliride has launched its new digital campaign film, “#ChotiRideBadaKal”, driving home the message that sustainable choices do not need to be dramatic. The campaign is anchored in the central philosophy: “Aapka Safar, Desh Ka Sudhar” (Your Journey, The Nation’s Progress). Through its affordable EV rental model, Bijliride aims to show that you do not have to be an environmental activist to make a difference—sometimes, simply choosing a cleaner way to handle your daily travel is enough to protect the planet, one trip at a time.
The campaign film shifts the focus away from grand corporate promises to highlight the ordinary, relatable journey of a young delivery rider using a rented Bijliride electric scooter. Like millions of working Indians, his immediate focus is entirely on managing his daily commute and earning a livelihood, rather than changing the world. As his day unfolds through a series of realistic, slice-of-life moments—including deliveries, quick chai breaks, and routine errands—every kilometer he rides quietly cuts down carbon emissions and fossil fuel consumption without him even realizing it.
The emotional turning point arrives at the end of the day when a child in his family points out the cumulative positive impact of his travel. What felt like a routine, ordinary commute suddenly becomes a deeply meaningful contribution toward a greener future. Built with minimal dialogue and natural city ambiance, the film avoids preachy environmental lectures, focusing instead on raw human connection and the quiet power of everyday choices.
“At Bijliride, we have always believed that true environmental change doesn’t happen in corporate boardrooms through grand annual promises—it happens on the streets, one kilometre at a time,” said Vishal Vikram, Co-Founder, Bijliride. “Our World Environment Day film, #ChotiRideBadaKal, is a tribute to the millions of everyday Indian commuters, gig workers, and students. They aren’t riding our EVs to be environmental activists; they are riding to build their livelihoods and save on rising fuel costs. Yet, through their smart, everyday choices, they are quietly leading India’s green mobility revolution. By making electric mobility affordable and completely frictionless, Bijliride is proving that when you empower common people to look after their daily pockets, they naturally end up looking after the planet.”
The digital film is now live across all of Bijliride’s social media and digital platforms.
