Eviny Fast Charging and Mer have announced plans to merge their operations, a move that is expected to create the largest electric vehicle fast-charging operator in the Nordic region. The transaction has been agreed upon by the companies’ owners, Eviny and Statkraft, and remains subject to regulatory approvals before it is finalized.
The proposed merger aims to strengthen the companies’ position in the rapidly growing EV charging market by combining their expertise, infrastructure, and operational capabilities. Together, the companies plan to offer a broader and more reliable charging network for electric vehicle drivers across the Nordic countries.
Once completed, the combined company will operate an extensive network of fast-charging stations across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. By integrating their charging infrastructure, the partners intend to improve customer accessibility while supporting the increasing demand for public EV charging as electric mobility continues to expand across Europe.
Under the terms of the agreement, Eviny will own 57% of the merged business, while Statkraft will hold the remaining 43% stake. The companies stated that the new ownership structure will provide a solid foundation for future investments, innovation, and long-term growth in EV charging infrastructure.
Company representatives said the merger is designed to create a stronger and more competitive business capable of accelerating the rollout of high-quality charging services. The combined organization will focus on enhancing customer experience, expanding network coverage, and delivering dependable charging solutions for both private and commercial EV users.
