Fresh Bus, the all-electric intercity operator, has officially begun operations on the busy Bengaluru–Chennai corridor, offering both seater and sleeper buses.
In a bid to prioritise passenger convenience, Fresh Bus has rolled out an automated refund and compensation scheme called The Fresh Promise. Under this system, any delays or cancellations are tracked via real-time GPS, and eligible refunds are automatically processed — passengers don’t need to manually raise a request.
The compensation structure under The Fresh Promise includes the following: if the bus is delayed by 90 minutes or more, commuters receive ₹1,000. If the service is cancelled within three hours of departure, passengers get ₹500 plus a full ticket refund. And if a journey is left incomplete, the policy offers ₹1,000 in compensation along with a full refund.
Fresh Bus says the new route is listed on its app, website, and partner booking platforms — making booking easy and accessible. The buses come with amenities aimed at long-distance travel comfort: comfortable seating or sleeper berths, onboard facilities, and the perks expected of premium intercity EV travel.
This move is significant because it strengthens Fresh Bus’s footprint on a major intercity corridor, and marks a push for greener, more reliable travel in India. The introduction of a transparent, customer-first compensation system sets a new standard in the bus transport industry.
By combining electric-vehicle technology with thoughtful service guarantees, Fresh Bus is positioning itself as a “future-ready, passenger-first” transport provider — seeking to change how people view bus travel between major cities in India.
