At the annual EICMA 2025 show in Milan, Honda made a bold entrance into the electric-two-wheeler space with the global unveiling of the all-new Honda WN7 electric motorcycle, marking a major milestone in Honda’s journey toward electrification. Alongside this, the Japanese giant also showcased the next-generation V3R 900 E‑Compressor Prototype, blending high-performance engineering with a forward-looking vision of motorcycling.

The Honda WN7 stands out not only as the brand’s first electric motorcycle but also as a symbol of its “Be the Wind” electrification motto. With an 18 kW motor paired to a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, the bike is designed for A2 licence-level riders and promises a riding range of approximately 140 km. It also supports CCS2 charging and claims a rapid charge from 20 % to 80 % in just 30 minutes — a strong signal of Honda’s intent to make electric mobility practical.

In terms of design and features, the WN7 brings a frameless chassis, regenerative braking selector, forward/reverse walking assist, and advanced rider aids such as cornering ABS and selectable torque control (HSTC). With multiple ride modes and a new EV-brand and product mark, Honda is positioning this as the start of its next chapter in two-wheeled mobility.

Turning to the performance side, the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype is a showcase of engineering ambition. Honda says it features a unique 900 cc V3 engine with an electronically controlled compressor, offering torque levels comparable to a 1,200 cc engine. The asymmetrical bodywork, Honda’s “Flagship Wing” emblem and futuristic styling make it a clear statement of premium, high-performance intent from the brand.

Beyond these two headline models, Honda’s EICMA booth was packed with other new-model announcements and updates. These included the new CB1000GT sports-tourer, the expansion of the E-Clutch system to several models (including the XL750 Transalp and CB750 Hornet), and updates across its 2026 model range. Honda also revealed special editions like a ‘Kuromi’ collaboration wrap on the CB750 Hornet and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, blending pop-culture aesthetics with motorcycling design.

In conclusion, Honda’s presence at EICMA 2025 clearly underlines its dual focus: fully committing to electric mobility while maintaining its heritage of performance, innovation and rider-first design. With the WN7 and V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype leading the way, Honda is signalling that the future of two-wheeled mobility is both electric and exhilarating.
