HORIBA India unveiled its latest suite of advanced automotive testing technologies during the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) 2026, held at the Pune International Exhibition & Convention Centre. The event, a key gathering for the automotive and mobility industry, saw participation from leading manufacturers, regulators and tech innovators focusing on the future of sustainable and compliant mobility.
At its exhibition booth, HORIBA India highlighted a range of solutions designed to support the evolving needs of vehicle manufacturers, especially as the industry transitions toward stricter emissions standards and diversified powertrain technologies. The portfolio on display spanned emissions measurement tools, electric vehicle validation systems, and hydrogen-related technologies, signalling a broad commitment to multi-modal mobility testing.
One of the centrepieces of HORIBA’s display was a locally developed Electrolyzer Test Station, created in collaboration with the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. This platform is engineered to validate electrolyzers for both industrial applications and large-scale mobility use cases, aiding India’s ambitions in green hydrogen production and utilisation.
In addition to hydrogen-focused tools, the company showcased its MEXACube PEMS system, which enables manufacturers to measure real-driving emissions under regulatory frameworks like Euro 7 and the upcoming BS7 standards. Complementary systems such as the OBS-ONE-PN10 for particulate monitoring and the EVCM-ONE for assessing electric vehicle charging energy under WLTP test cycles were also on display.
Speaking about the importance of precise testing infrastructure, HORIBA India’s leadership emphasised the critical role of advanced validation tools in helping OEMs and suppliers meet tightening regulatory thresholds while maintaining performance and reliability. The company reiterated its focus on “Make in India” capabilities, aiming to strengthen local testing ecosystems and technical expertise in the country.
Industry observers noted that HORIBA India’s participation at SIAT 2026 underscored broader trends in the automotive sector toward integrated testing for emissions, electrification, and alternative fuels. With increasing emphasis on sustainability, digital validation, and compliance, such technology showcases are viewed as pivotal in helping India’s automotive players navigate future regulatory and market shifts.
