Hyundai to Launch India’s First Locally Designed EV

Hyundai Motor Company has confirmed plans to launch its first electric vehicle designed specifically for the Indian market before 2030, marking a major milestone in its global electrification strategy. The move positions India as a key hub for innovation, production, and adoption of sustainable mobility.

On a larger scale, Hyundai is targeting 5.55 million annual vehicle sales worldwide by 2030, including 3.3 million electrified units across hybrids, battery EVs, and extended-range EVs. India is projected to be a significant contributor to this growth, both in sales and production.
