JSW MG Motor Becomes Second-Largest Luxury EV Brand in India

JSW MG Motor India has emerged as the second-largest luxury electric vehicle (EV) brand in India, riding on the success of its MG Cyberster sports car and the MG M9 Presidential Limousine. According to September 2025 data from Vahan, both models have generated significant demand, resulting in waiting periods of 3–4 months.

Launched in July 2025, the MG Cyberster has quickly become India’s top-selling sports EV, with 256 units sold through MG SELECT, the company’s luxury retail channel. The Cyberster features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 3.2 seconds.

The MG M9 Presidential Limousine takes luxury EV mobility to the next level, catering to high-end customers seeking premium comfort and advanced technology. Its opulent interiors, coupled with cutting-edge EV performance, have made it a standout choice among discerning buyers.

To strengthen customer engagement, JSW MG Motor India has opened 14 MG SELECT Experience Centres in major cities. These centers provide immersive experiences, personalized services, and hands-on demonstrations of flagship models like the Cyberster and M9, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to luxury and innovation.

Looking ahead, JSW MG Motor India aims to become India’s top luxury EV brand by 2026. The company plans to achieve this through annual new product launches, focusing on electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles, while expanding its presence in key urban markets.
