Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions has announced a ground-breaking partnership with Exponent Energy to introduce what they claim is India’s fastest charging system for electric three-wheelers. The collaboration aims to serve both cargo and passenger e-rickshaws, potentially transforming operations for fleet owners.
Under this joint initiative, the fast-charging infrastructure is designed to support L5 and L3 category e-3Ws. This includes a broad spectrum of vehicles — from heavy-load electric loaders to last-mile passenger rickshaws — making it a versatile solution for diverse fleet requirements.
Kinetic Green confirmed that two of its L3 models, the Safar Smart and Safar Shakti, along with its cargo variant Super DX, will be compatible with this 15-minute full-charge technology. For its larger L5 “Safar Jumbo” loader, which naturally demands greater energy, the solution enables quick top-ups — reducing downtime significantly.
Reliability is a big part of the offering: Exponent Energy backs the system with a 3,000-cycle battery warranty, which should give fleet operators greater confidence in long-term performance. Moreover, Exponent already operates over 160 fast-charging stations across four major Indian cities — and Kinetic Green’s fleet will now gain access to this network.
Beyond just the hardware, the infrastructure is deeply integrated with Exponent’s cloud-based dashboard. Fleet owners can monitor real-time charge status, optimise charging schedules, and even receive predictive maintenance alerts — all linked to Kinetic Green’s fleet management system.
From a business perspective, Kinetic Green estimates that access to 15-minute charging could boost daily operating hours of e-3Ws by as much as 30%. This translates into increased productivity, more trips, and better profitability. Strategically, the partnership reinforces Exponent Energy’s growing presence in EV infrastructure for commercial fleets and underlines Kinetic Green’s focus on innovation, cost-efficiency, and scaling up sustainable mobility in India.
