Magenta Mobility has announced the appointment of Nand Kumar Sharma as the Executive Vice President of Projects to spearhead its nationwide electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure expansion. This strategic move comes as the company intensifies its mission to build a robust and accessible EV charging network across India.

Sharma, a seasoned infrastructure professional, brings over three decades of experience from companies such as Tata Power and Adani Electricity. His expertise in power distribution and project execution is expected to significantly boost Magenta Mobility’s rollout of charging stations across key urban and transit corridors.

In his new role, Sharma will oversee the planning, deployment, and scaling of public and fleet-focused charging hubs. He will also be responsible for driving technological innovations in energy management and ensuring operational efficiency in Magenta’s nationwide projects.

Maxson Lewis, Founder and Managing Director of Magenta Mobility, welcomed Sharma’s appointment, noting that his leadership will be crucial as the company enters a new phase of growth. “His deep understanding of power systems and project execution will help us accelerate EV adoption through reliable infrastructure,” Lewis stated.

Magenta Mobility, known for its integrated energy and logistics solutions, has been actively expanding its presence with a growing portfolio of charging stations and partnerships with last-mile delivery firms. The company aims to set up thousands of chargers by 2030 under its vision for clean and connected mobility.

With Sharma at the helm of infrastructure projects, Magenta is positioning itself as a key enabler of India’s EV ecosystem. His appointment reflects the company’s strategic focus on scaling operations and supporting the government’s targets for electric mobility and net-zero emissions.
