Mahindra has reached an important achievement in India’s electric vehicle market as its electric SUV portfolio has crossed 50,000 total sales within just one year. This milestone highlights the growing popularity of electric SUVs and shows the company’s strong progress in the EV segment since deliveries began in March 2025.
The company’s born-electric SUV lineup includes the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S models. All three vehicles are developed on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which is specially designed for electric vehicles to support performance, safety and future EV development.
Mahindra’s sales growth has been quite rapid since launch. The company sold around 30,000 units within the first seven months and later crossed 41,000 units in less than ten months. The total then crossed the 50,000 mark within a year, showing strong customer demand for these electric SUVs.
The XEV 9S model has also contributed to this growth by attracting family buyers with its spacious design and practical features. The SUV offers three-row seating, a large cabin and multiple battery options including 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh packs, with some variants offering a driving range of over 500 km.
The XEV 9e focuses more on performance and premium features with its coupe-style design, while the BE 6 is positioned as a sportier option in the lineup. These different offerings help Mahindra target multiple customer segments and strengthen its EV presence.
With this strong sales performance, Mahindra is expected to further expand its electric vehicle portfolio in the coming years. The company continues to focus on increasing EV adoption as demand for sustainable mobility solutions grows in India.
