  • EV Research & Development

Key infrastructure includes a 2-Wheeler Chassis Dynamometer, Advanced Four-Quadrant Motor Test Bench, Battery Pack Manufacturing Platform, Cell Testing & Characterisation Lab, Multi-Cell BMS Development & Testing Lab and Automotive CAN Communication Unit.

The facilities are intended to provide practical exposure to battery testing, BMS development, cell characterisation, motor performance analysis, road-load simulation, vehicle testing, automotive communication and EV system validation.

Medicaps University × Decibels Lab

The Centre represents a collaboration between Medicaps University’s academic ecosystem and Decibels Lab’s capabilities in EV laboratory development, engineering R&D, testing and characterisation and technical skill development.

Through the collaboration, the partners aim to create an environment where academic learning can connect with practical engineering, experimentation, testing and research. The Centre is positioned to support hands-on learning, technical upskilling, student projects, faculty development, applied research and industry-oriented projects.

Strengthening EV Education, Research and Industry Readiness

The Electric Vehicle Center of Excellence is designed to support the development of future-ready engineering capabilities as the electric mobility ecosystem continues to evolve. By bringing laboratory infrastructure and practical engineering exposure into the university environment, the Centre can provide students and faculty with opportunities to work with technologies and testing systems relevant to modern EV development.

The Centre also provides a foundation for future technical programmes, industry interaction, student projects, faculty engagement and applied research in electric mobility.

Inauguration Programme

The programme included the formal inauguration of the Centre, interactions with university and industry leadership, and an overview and walkthrough of the EV infrastructure and technology capabilities established at Medicaps University.

The participating guests had an opportunity to engage with the Centre and understand its potential role in practical EV education, technical training, research and industry collaboration.

Looking Ahead

With the Centre now inaugurated, Medicaps University and Decibels Lab will continue to explore opportunities to strengthen EV education, technical skill development, applied research and industry engagement.

The collaboration is intended to create sustained opportunities for students, faculty, researchers and industry stakeholders to engage with emerging electric mobility technologies and contribute to the development of the future EV workforce.
