JSW MG Motor India has announced a groundbreaking achievement: its MG Windsor EV has crossed 50,000 units sold in just over 400 days. This feat establishes the Windsor as the fastest four-wheeler EV in India to reach this milestone.

The sales pace is impressive — the company claims that on average, five Windsor EVs are sold every hour. This underscores the strong demand for the model not only in metros but also in non-metro regions.

Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, said the milestone validates their vision: “create a mobility solution that is practical, stylish, and value-driven while accelerating EV adoption in the country.” He believes this is a key moment in India’s electric vehicle journey and is driving MG to deepen its commitment to clean mobility.

The Windsor’s appeal comes from its strong design and tech credentials. It features MG’s signature “AeroGlide” styling, rear seats that recline to 135° (called Aero Lounge), and a 15.6-inch grand-view touchscreen, all contributing to its value-for-money positioning. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the EV’s starting ex-showroom price is ₹ 9.99 lakh, plus a running cost of ₹ 3.9 per km.

On the performance front, the Windsor packs a 100 kW (136 PS) motor and delivers 200 Nm torque, offering a balance of efficiency and spirited drive. According to MG, this performance, combined with its design and pricing strategy, has played a big role in making it a mass-market EV success.

This milestone adds momentum to MG’s broader EV strategy. The Windsor’s record sales reinforce MG’s strong presence in the new-energy mobility segment, and the company says it will continue innovating and expanding its EV portfolio to shape the future of clean mobility in India.
