Odysse Electric Unveils Affordable Racer Neo Scooter

Odysse Electric, a rising player in India’s electric two-wheeler market, has introduced the Racer Neo, a budget-friendly low-speed electric scooter starting at ₹52,000. Targeted at students, delivery riders, and first-time users, the scooter embraces affordability, a moderate top speed of 25 km/h, and license-free operation under India’s EV regulations.

Positioned as an enhanced version of its predecessor, the original Racer, the Neo comes in two battery variants. The graphene-equipped model starts at ₹52,000 and offers up to 115 km of range, while the lithium-ion option, at ₹63,000, delivers 90–115 km depending on battery size. Both variants feature a 250 W motor and can be charged within 4–8 hours.

Though falling under India’s low-speed category, the Racer Neo still offers practical enhancements. Its digital LED meter includes cruise control, keyless start/stop, USB charging, reverse gear, and dedicated city and parking modes. Ample boot space caters to delivery needs—features that, combined with its modest pricing, broaden its appeal.

This launch underscores Odysse Electric’s commitment to democratizing EV mobility. Company founder and CEO Nemin Vora emphasized that the Racer Neo is designed to be “affordable, aspirational, and accessible across Bharat,” reinforcing their mission to penetrate urban and semi-urban markets.

The rollout builds on the brand’s earlier expansion—Odysse now operates in more than 150 cities across 17 states, positioning the Racer Neo for wide availability via its growing dealership network and online platforms.

While the Racer Neo currently targets the low-speed segment, Odysse Electric is simultaneously developing higher-speed scooters and even an e-superbike. The broader strategy aims to capture a wide range of riders while cementing the company’s role in India’s fast-evolving EV ecosystem.
