Ola Electric has officially started mass deliveries of its 4680 Bharat Cell–powered vehicles, marking a major milestone for the company and India’s EV ecosystem. The first batch of deliveries includes the S1 Pro+ electric scooter, equipped with Ola’s indigenously developed 4680 battery cells. The rollout took place across multiple cities, indicating the company’s scale-up in cell manufacturing and vehicle deployment.

The 4680 Bharat Cell has been designed to enhance performance, range, and thermal efficiency. According to the company, the battery delivers higher energy density and improved safety, contributing to a more reliable riding experience. This move positions Ola Electric as one of the few global EV manufacturers with vertically integrated battery technology.

The S1 Pro+ features a 5.2 kWh battery pack built using the new 4680 cells, offering an IDC range of 320 km. The scooter produces 13 kW peak power and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds. It comes with four riding modes—Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco—allowing users to balance performance and efficiency based on their needs.

In terms of safety, the S1 Pro+ offers dual-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, and an upgraded thermal management system integrated with the new cell architecture. A redesigned seat, body-colored mirrors, fresh decals, and seven color choices add to the refreshed styling and comfort of the model.

Ola Electric stated that customer response to the upgraded S1 Pro+ has been strong, with the company highlighting that this is the first time Indian riders are receiving vehicles powered by locally developed 4680 Bharat Cells. Ola added that this milestone strengthens India’s vision of becoming self-reliant in advanced EV battery technology.

Alongside the S1 Pro+, Ola continues expanding its EV portfolio, which includes the S1 Gen-3 series, S1 X lineup, S1 Pro Sport variants, and the Roadster X motorcycles. The company currently offers products across a wide price range starting from ₹84,999 to ₹1,90,338, targeting both premium and mass-market electric mobility buyers.
