Pace Digitek has secured a major contract worth ₹4,945.4 million (approximately ₹494.54 crore) from NTPC for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station in Bihar. This order strengthens the company’s position in India’s growing energy storage infrastructure sector.
The contract includes execution of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package for the BESS project. The scope covers supply of equipment, transportation, installation, civil works, structural work, testing, pre-commissioning, and final commissioning of the system.
As part of the agreement, Pace Digitek will also provide comprehensive annual maintenance services for the entire design life of the battery energy storage system. This highlights the company’s long-term operational commitment beyond just project execution.
According to the project timeline, the supply and execution portion of the contract is expected to be completed within 15 months. The maintenance services will continue for approximately 11 years, ensuring long-term performance and reliability of the energy storage facility.
The company confirmed that the contract was awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related-party transactions. Pace Digitek also clarified that its promoters or group companies do not have any financial interest in NTPC related to this project.
With increasing demand for grid stability and renewable energy integration in India, Battery Energy Storage Systems are becoming critical infrastructure. This project marks another important achievement for Pace Digitek as it continues expanding its footprint in the power and clean energy sector.
