Renault is gearing up to unveil the all-new Twingo E-Tech Electric on November 6, 2025, bringing back its iconic city car in a fully electric avatar. Built on the AmpR Small platform, the Twingo EV blends retro-inspired styling with modern electric mobility, targeting an affordable and practical solution for urban commuters.
The new Twingo E-Tech Electric features a compact design optimized for city driving. Highlights include a panoramic glass roof, advanced LED lighting, and a streamlined body with smaller wheels and a flattened windscreen section. These design elements not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also improve cabin illumination and safety for urban roads.
Under the hood, the Twingo EV comes with an efficient electric powertrain capable of delivering an estimated 300 km range per charge, making it ideal for city commutes and short intercity trips. With low running costs and zero tailpipe emissions, it aligns with Renault’s focus on green mobility and sustainable transport solutions.
Renault aims to position the Twingo EV as an affordable electric vehicle, with a starting price below €20,000 (around ₹17.3 lakh) in European markets. While official pricing and availability for India have not been confirmed, the compact EV is expected to appeal to India’s urban buyers looking for a small, stylish, and cost-effective electric hatchback.
Ahead of the global reveal, Renault has launched the ‘R Pass’ program, allowing early access to orders. Participants will receive priority production, exclusive benefits, and early delivery, ensuring enthusiasts can secure their Twingo EV before general availability.
Although Renault has not officially confirmed an Indian launch, industry experts expect the Twingo E-Tech Electric to enter India soon. Considering the success of models like the Renault Kwid EV and the growing urban EV market, the Twingo EV could attract buyers seeking a compact, stylish, and affordable electric city car. Its combination of modern EV technology, retro-inspired design, and practical usability makes it a significant contender in the global and potentially Indian EV market.
