Shakti Pumps (India) has invested an additional ₹5 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti EV Mobility. The latest capital infusion has increased the company’s total consolidated investment in the EV-focused subsidiary to ₹75 crore.

The investment was made through the subscription of 50 lakh equity shares of Shakti EV Mobility, with each share carrying a face value of ₹10. The transaction was completed on August 20, 2026, further strengthening Shakti Pumps’ investment in its electric mobility business.

Shakti EV Mobility is engaged in the manufacturing and development of electric vehicle components, including EV motors, chargers and controllers. The subsidiary operates as a wholly owned arm of Shakti Pumps and forms part of the company’s expansion into the electric mobility sector.

The latest ₹5 crore investment follows earlier capital infusions by Shakti Pumps into the subsidiary. Prior to this transaction, the company had already increased its consolidated investment in Shakti EV Mobility to ₹70 crore through a previous investment announced in July 2026.

Shakti Pumps has been developing its EV components business through Shakti EV Mobility, with the company’s manufacturing expansion plans covering EV motors, controllers and chargers. Its recent investor disclosures also indicated that the subsidiary’s products were undergoing vehicle-level trials with automotive OEMs.

With the additional ₹5 crore investment, Shakti Pumps has now taken its total consolidated investment in Shakti EV Mobility to ₹75 crore. The fresh funding is expected to support the subsidiary as it continues its efforts to initiate and expand operations in the electric vehicle components segment.
