Suzuki Motorcycle has officially opened bookings for its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-ACCESS, marking the company’s maiden global foray into electric two-wheeler mobility with India as the launch market. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with bookings now available at authorised Suzuki dealerships across the country. Alongside the booking launch, Suzuki also expanded the scooter’s colour portfolio by introducing a new dual-tone finish Metallic Mat Stellar Blue / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray bringing the total to four distinctive colour options.

The e-ACCESS has been developed under Suzuki’s proprietary e-Technology platform, with the company emphasising long battery life, agile handling, responsive performance and high-quality fit and finish. According to SMIPL, the scooter aims to combine the brand’s traditional strengths durability and everyday practicality with modern electric mobility traits to appeal to urban commuters seeking sustainable transport solutions.

At the heart of the e-ACCESS is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery system that Suzuki claims delivers up to four times longer life compared to many conventional batteries, along with improved thermal stability. The scooter is powered by a 4.1 kW electric motor producing roughly 15 Nm of torque, and comes with a suite of riding modes Eco, Ride A, and Ride B as well as a reverse mode and regenerative braking for enhanced control and convenience.

Suzuki Motorcycle India also highlighted that the e-ACCESS is built on a lightweight, stable chassis, featuring LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels and a maintenance-free belt drive with a claimed service life of up to seven years or 70,000 km. These attributes, the company says, are designed to deliver a blend of comfort, reliability and efficiency for daily urban commuting.

In support of the electric scooter, SMIPL stated that customers will have access to its nationwide network of more than 1,200 Suzuki outlets for service and charging. DC fast-charging facilities are already available at over 240 locations, with plans to expand further, while portable AC chargers are offered across the wider network, ensuring ease of ownership for early adopters.

To encourage uptake, Suzuki is offering several ownership incentives with the e-ACCESS, including an extended warranty of up to seven years or 80,000 km, buy-back assurance of up to 60 per cent after three years, loyalty and welcome bonuses, and attractive finance options. The company says these benefits, combined with its dealer support and EV-ready infrastructure, aim to make the scooter an appealing choice for buyers transitioning to electric two-wheelers.
