ThunderPlus, one of India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure providers, has officially commissioned a new public EV charging station at an Indian Oil fuel station in Patancheru. The move aims to significantly broaden access to reliable and fast charging facilities for EV owners in and around the region.

The newly launched charging point is equipped with a blend of DC and AC charging options, making it suitable for a diverse range of electric vehicles from scooters and bikes to passenger cars. The setup includes 60 kW DC fast chargers along with 7.4 kW and 3.3 kW AC units, catering to both quick top-ups and standard charging needs.

By situating the EV chargers at an established Indian Oil fuel station a location already frequented by daily commuters ThunderPlus is strategically linking traditional transport infrastructure with modern electric mobility needs. This integration is expected to make EV charging more convenient for users who travel through or live near Patancheru.

Local EV drivers have often cited range anxiety and limited public charging options as barriers to wider adoption. With the addition of this public EV charging hub, the company hopes to address these challenges and support a smoother transition to electric vehicles in the state.

ThunderPlus has been actively rolling out its charging network across India as part of its broader mission to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility. The Patancheru commissioning aligns with national efforts to expand EV infrastructure, particularly in fast-growing urban and peri-urban regions.

Officials and industry observers say such initiatives are a positive step toward reducing dependence on fossil fuels and cutting transportation emissions, while also boosting confidence among potential EV buyers who seek dependable charging options.
