Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled the X-47 Crossover, the world’s first production motorcycle equipped with an integrated radar system. Priced at ₹2.49 lakh for the first 1,000 customers, the X-47 combines advanced safety features, high performance, and long-range capability, setting a new benchmark in electric two-wheeler innovation.

World’s First Radar-Integrated Motorcycle

The X-47 is equipped with a 77 GHz long-range radar and dual cameras that power the UV HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System (ARAS). This system enables features such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, rear collision warning, and overtake alerts—safety technologies rarely seen in motorcycles.

Power and Performance

The X-47 is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, delivering 40.2 hp (30 kW) and 610 Nm of torque at the wheel. It accelerates from 0–60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 145 km/h. The bike offers an IDC-certified range of up to 323 km, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long-distance touring.

Charging Innovations

Ultraviolette has introduced Parallel Boost Charging, combining onboard and auxiliary chargers to reduce charging time significantly. The X-47 also features an onboard air-cooled charger, enhancing convenience for riders.

Premium Components and Safety

The X-47 comes with Brembo braking system, Bosch 10th-gen dual-channel ABS, three levels of traction control, 41 mm inverted front forks, and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, offering enhanced stability and control.

Market Expansion and Future Plans

Ultraviolette aims to sell 10,000 units in FY26, scaling its Bengaluru plant capacity to 1 lakh units annually. The company already exports to over 10 European markets and plans to expand to 40 international markets in the coming years. An IPO is under consideration for FY27-28.

This launch positions Ultraviolette as a leader in the electric motorcycle segment, combining cutting-edge technology with performance and safety. The X-47 is set to redefine the riding experience and accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in India and beyond.
