Vikrampati Singhania, Managing Director of JK Fenner (India) Ltd., has taken charge as the new President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) for the year 2025-26. With him, Sriram Viji, MD of Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., has been named President Designate, set to succeed in the next term.
The leadership change comes at a crucial time for India’s auto component industry, which is facing rapid shifts due to electric mobility, global supply chain disruptions, and evolving trade dynamics. ACMA will be expected to guide members through these transitions while keeping growth steady.
Soon after taking charge, Singhania outlined his vision: greater localisation of parts, stronger investment in R&D, and adoption of advanced technologies to prepare Indian manufacturers for the future. He emphasized that sustainability will be a key pillar in all upcoming initiatives.
He also highlighted India’s growing recognition as a reliable global hub for mobility solutions. According to him, the component sector must seize this opportunity by improving quality, innovating faster, and scaling up capabilities to meet international demand.
Singhania expressed confidence that with strong government support, India can achieve self-reliance in the auto component ecosystem. He urged industry players to focus on developing indigenous technologies that align with the country’s Atmanirbhar Bharat goals.
Under his leadership, ACMA is expected to play a stronger role in bridging industry and policymakers, creating platforms for innovation, and pushing sustainability practices. The new term is being seen as an opportunity to strengthen India’s position in global automotive supply chains.
