Electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced the extension of its free EV charging programme across select Asian markets until March 31, 2029, as part of its strategy to accelerate the transition towards green mobility.

The extended policy will allow VinFast customers in markets such as India, Indonesia and the Philippines to access free charging at stations operated by V-Green. The benefit will be available to both existing customers and new buyers.

The company said the initiative is aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership for EV users and making electric vehicles a more practical and affordable option compared to conventional internal combustion engine vehicles.

The free charging benefit will also support drivers operating on the Green SM mobility platform, which deploys VinFast electric vehicles for ride-hailing services, further strengthening the EV ecosystem in the region.

VinFast’s parent company Vingroup is also supporting EV adoption through promotional programmes encouraging customers to switch from petrol vehicles to electric models through limited-period incentives and discounts.

With this move, VinFast aims to strengthen its presence in Asia while promoting sustainable transportation through expanding charging infrastructure, customer support policies and ecosystem development initiatives focused on clean mobility.
