Volkswagen has officially revealed the all-new ID. Cross, a compact all-electric SUV designed to make premium electric mobility more accessible. Built on the brand’s latest MEB+ platform, the new model combines modern styling, advanced technology, and practical features while offering a driving range of up to 427 km (WLTP) on a single charge. The ID. Cross is expected to strengthen Volkswagen’s position in the growing compact EV segment.

The ID. Cross features a spacious five-seat cabin and a practical design aimed at everyday usability. Despite its compact dimensions, the SUV offers a generous luggage compartment and additional underfloor storage. Volkswagen has also introduced a refreshed interior layout that includes physical controls for key functions alongside a modern digital cockpit, improving convenience for drivers and passengers.

Powering the new electric SUV are multiple motor options paired with battery packs that deliver different performance levels. The top variant offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 427 km, making it suitable for both daily city commuting and longer highway journeys. The MEB+ architecture also supports improved charging capabilities and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power external electrical devices directly from the vehicle.

Volkswagen has equipped the ID. Cross with a wide range of advanced safety and driver assistance technologies. Depending on the variant, the SUV includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, parking support, and several connected-car features designed to enhance driving comfort and safety. Premium options such as massage seats and advanced infotainment functions are also available on higher trims.

The new model is positioned as an affordable premium electric SUV, with prices in Europe starting at approximately €28,000. Volkswagen aims to attract buyers looking to transition from conventional compact SUVs to electric mobility without compromising on comfort, practicality, or technology. The ID. Cross is expected to compete with several emerging compact electric SUVs across the European market.

With the launch of the ID. Cross, Volkswagen continues to expand its global electric vehicle portfolio and reinforce its commitment to sustainable mobility. By combining competitive pricing, practical design, advanced features, and a driving range of up to 427 km, the company aims to accelerate EV adoption while meeting the evolving needs of modern consumers.
