Audi has opened a new premium charging hub in Düsseldorf, marking the latest step in its rapid expansion of high-power charging infrastructure across German-speaking markets. The facility, located at the innovative EUREF Campus near Düsseldorf Airport, offers four high-power charging points with up to 400 kW capacity for EVs of all brands, enhancing convenience for long-distance and urban drivers alike.

The Düsseldorf hub is Audi’s first in North Rhine-Westphalia and the brand’s third new charging location launched in 2025, following recent openings at Kiefersfelden and Munich-Westkreuz. With this addition, Audi’s premium charging network now spans nine sites in German-speaking countries, offering faster, more accessible charging for EV owners.

Designed with a modular construction concept, the charging hub can be adapted or relocated as needed without extensive groundwork, allowing Audi to deploy hubs rapidly and sustainably in diverse urban settings. The setup also uses second-life batteries from test vehicles as energy storage, reducing grid load and supporting efficient operations.

To enhance the customer experience during charging stops, the Düsseldorf location provides amenities including food and beverage options, restrooms and nearby showrooms at the EUREF Campus — a hub for energy transition innovation that attracts significant visitor traffic each year.

Audi has also incorporated accessibility features such as an innovative swivel arm that lightens charging cable weight, height-adjustable displays and spacious maneuvering areas, ensuring a comfortable and barrier-free experience for all users.

According to Audi leadership, expanding the premium charging network aligns with the brand’s mission to make electric mobility both convenient and engaging, turning charging hubs into “touchpoints” for the Audi brand while supporting broader EV adoption. Further hub rollouts in German cities are planned for 2026 as part of this strategy.
