Chevrolet has officially unveiled the 2027 Bolt EV as part of its broader plan to expand access to affordable electric vehicles. The new model reflects the company’s focus on bringing practical EV solutions to mainstream customers and accelerating EV adoption.
The 2027 Bolt is expected to carry a starting price of around $29,000, positioning it among the most affordable electric vehicles in the United States. This pricing strategy highlights Chevrolet’s intention to attract cost-conscious buyers looking to transition from conventional vehicles to electric mobility.
According to company specifications, the new Bolt will feature a single electric motor producing approximately 210 horsepower. The vehicle is also expected to deliver an estimated driving range of about 262 miles (around 422 km) on a full charge, making it suitable for both urban and highway driving needs.
Chevrolet is also enhancing the charging experience by introducing fast-charging capability along with support for the North American Charging Standard (NACS). This addition is expected to allow access to a wider charging infrastructure, improving convenience for EV users.
Inside, the vehicle is expected to feature a modernized cabin with a large infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and Google built-in connectivity features. The model is also expected to offer a range of advanced driver-assistance and safety technologies aimed at improving the overall driving experience.
Parent company General Motors stated that the return of the Bolt nameplate underlines its commitment to delivering affordable EV options. By combining competitive pricing, practical range, and updated technology, the company aims to attract a broader customer base toward electric vehicles.
