Euler Motors, a leading manufacturer of electric commercial vehicles, announced a strategic partnership with Jio-bp, the mobility arm of Reliance Industries Limited and bp. The collaboration focuses on expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure across major logistics hubs in the country, aiming to support fleet electrification and improve overall charging accessibility.
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly identify key logistics and commercial hotspots where robust EV charging infrastructure is most needed. With this agreement, Euler Motors will help connect Jio-bp’s charging network with its existing and prospective fleet customers, enabling faster deployment and streamlined site feasibility assessments.
As part of its ongoing push into commercial EVs, Euler Motors has recently launched advanced models such as the Euler TURBO EV 1000 Fast Charge and Euler Storm EV Fast Charge. These vehicles are designed for high-utilisation use cases in logistics and last-mile delivery, but their success depends heavily on reliable access to charging points — a gap this partnership seeks to address.
On the other side, Jio-bp operates nearly 7,000 EV charging points across more than 1,000 locations nationwide, making it one of the largest EV charging networks in India. Its infrastructure includes high-power chargers, such as the country’s first 480 kW liquid-cooled charger, and supports both commercial and private electric vehicles.
Speaking on the collaboration, Sarthak Behuria, Chairman of Jio-bp, emphasised the need for combined efforts between vehicle makers and energy infrastructure providers to accelerate the country’s transition to electric logistics. He noted that strategic partnerships like this are vital for reducing carbon emissions and improving freight efficiency across urban centres.
From the Euler Motors side, executives highlighted that building out charging infrastructure alongside vehicle deployments will help fleet operators reduce downtime, increase utilization, and build confidence in EV technology for commercial use. With logistics playing a central role in India’s economic activity, strengthening the EV ecosystem is seen as key to sustainable growth going forward.
