Electric vehicle manufacturer Jitendra New EV Tech has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MET’s Institute of Engineering, located at Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik. This collaboration, spearheaded by IOE’s Mechanical Engineering Department, marks a significant step toward aligning industry needs with academic innovation in the electric mobility sector.

At the signing ceremony held on campus, the MoU was formalized by Dr. V. P. Wani, Principal of MET’s IOE, alongside department heads including Dr. S. D. Kalpande and Prof. Dr. Sachin Dahake. The agreement outlines a robust framework for joint efforts in research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving within the EV domain. Core focus areas include offering IOE students exposure through plant visits, internships, and live EV projects, bridging theoretical learning with real-world application.

More specifically, the MoU calls for expert technical consultancy from IOE to help Jitendra EV tackle productivity enhancements, operational issues, and the adoption of advanced engineering methodologies. Additionally, it supports technical guidance for the development of EV products ranging from scooters and rickshaws to bikes and other futuristic mobility solutions.

Dr. V. P. Wani commented, “This MoU marks a vital step toward bridging classroom learning with real-world innovation. Collaborating with a forward-looking company like Jitendra EV will empower our students to engage with cutting-edge technologies, enhance their practical skills, and contribute meaningfully to the future of electric mobility.”

From Jitendra EV’s side, Tejas Merchant, R&D Representative, remarked, “This collaboration is more than just knowledge exchange it’s about nurturing future-ready engineers who can contribute to real-time problem solving and innovation in the EV space.
