Nissan has made a bold move toward its electrified future with the unveiling of the next-generation LEAF and the refreshed Ariya EV at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. These launches are part of the company’s ongoing “Re:Nissan” initiative, which focuses on delivering intelligent, connected, and sustainable mobility solutions for global markets.

The new LEAF arrives with a redesigned exterior, improved aerodynamics, and a more efficient battery pack that enhances range and performance. Nissan aims to position this next-gen model as a globally accessible, zero-emission urban mobility solution catering to everyday drivers.

Meanwhile, the upgraded Ariya EV receives several key updates including refined styling, an advanced Google-powered infotainment system, and enhanced suspension for superior ride comfort. The addition of V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology further boosts its practicality, allowing users to power devices directly from the vehicle.

Nissan also showcased the fourth-generation Elgrand e-POWER, a hybrid model combining electrified powertrain technology with premium comfort and performance. The vehicle reflects Nissan’s vision to expand its EV lineup across multiple segments.

In addition, the company’s display featured its Formula E race car and an interactive Nissan Energy Zone demonstrating vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities—showing how EVs can serve as mobile energy hubs for homes and outdoor activities.

Through these innovations, Nissan reaffirmed its long-term goal of creating a fully connected, autonomous, and zero-emission ecosystem. The brand’s ongoing Yokohama pilot project, featuring an autonomous mobility service based on the Serena model, stands as a practical step toward that future.
