India’s EV manufacturer Ola Electric has announced a significant expansion of its service architecture by scaling up “Hyperservice” into an open-platform model. The new initiative makes the company’s genuine spare parts, diagnostic tools and service-training modules available not just to its own customers but also to independent garages, mechanics and fleet operators across the country.

Under Phase 1 of the rollout, genuine spare parts will be sold directly via the Ola Electric Customer App and the company’s website. This direct to consumer (D2C) style distribution bypasses intermediaries and offers certified components to both owners and third-party service centres.

In subsequent phases during the same quarter, Ola Electric will extend access beyond parts to include diagnostic tools and technician certification programmes. This means garages and individual mechanics will be able to train on Ola vehicles and receive official credentials to service them.

The company’s chairman and managing director, Bhavish Aggarwal, stated that the service ecosystem has been built “from first principles” with technology at its core, to be fast, transparent and efficient. He emphasised that opening this capability to everyone—customers, garages and fleets—represents “true service freedom” under its D2C model.

From a business-model perspective, opening Hyperservice strengthens Ola Electric’s unit economics by scaling its high-margin parts and accessories vertical. As its customer base expands rapidly, the parts business becomes a self-reinforcing revenue stream. The open-platform strategy therefore aims to drive higher volumes through its supply chain and set a scalable, profitable service ecosystem.

Beyond customer convenience, this move empowers India’s broader garage ecosystem: mechanics can formally upskill in EV technologies, become certified under Ola Electric’s brand and unlock new income streams. This initiative aligns with Ola Electric’s “India Inside” strategy of building open, scalable and domestically integrated platforms across batteries, software and now after-sales service infrastructure.
