Tesla is fast-tracking the expansion of its Supercharger network across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru in preparation for its vehicle deliveries starting in September, according to a senior company official.
The rollout will include multiple charging locations: in Delhi, Tesla is set to launch stations in Gurugram, Saket, and Noida; in Mumbai, additional Superchargers are planned for Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane to supplement the existing site at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
Mumbai’s BKC station, already operational since early August, offers four V4 Supercharging stalls delivering peak DC speeds of up to 250 kW at ₹24 per kWh, plus four 11 kW AC destination chargers around ₹11 per kWh. The V4 units can add up to 267 km of range to the Model Y in just 15 minutes.
The recent opening of Tesla’s second Indian Experience Centre in Delhi’s Aerocity indicates a broader ecosystem being established—from vehicle showcase to charging infrastructure and service readiness.
The Supercharger network expansion is integral to Tesla’s strategy, ensuring convenient, high-speed charging solutions are in place before deliveries begin. It reflects the brand’s commitment to ecosystem-building to support the growing Indian EV market.
With charging infrastructure scaling up across key metros and showrooms now functional in Mumbai and Delhi, Tesla appears poised to deliver a full-fledged electric mobility experience in India by early fall.
