EVamp Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has launched its indigenously designed Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS) chargers to strengthen India’s two- and three-wheeler EV ecosystem. The company said the new chargers aim to solve two major challenges of the sector — lack of standardisation and growing range anxiety among users.

The new chargers come in three power variants — 3.2 kW, 6.4 kW, and 10 kW — all supporting DC output voltages from 30 V to 120 V and up to 100 A current. These units are developed and tested entirely in India and are compatible with most of the electric two- and three-wheelers currently running on Indian roads.

EVamp announced plans to deploy these LECCS chargers through its own distribution channels and in collaboration with multiple charge point operators (CPOs). The company’s initial focus will be on expanding its charging network across Western, Southern, and Northern India within the next year.

Founder and CEO Devansh Shah said, “Our mission is to tackle the challenge of non-standardisation and deliver fast, interoperable charging for two- and three-wheelers. These LECCS chargers are built to ensure confidence, reliability, and compatibility across all major EV models.”

Co-founder Gunjan Mehta added that EVamp has begun large-scale production of both AC and DC chargers in India to ensure reliable and affordable access to charging infrastructure. She highlighted that the initiative would play a critical role in advancing the electrification of small and mid-range vehicles.

Developed jointly by EVamp and Ather Energy, the LECCS protocol aims to bring uniformity to India’s EV charging landscape. By introducing a common standard, it is expected to simplify charging infrastructure expansion and strengthen consumer trust, accelerating India’s transition toward cleaner, more efficient urban mobility.
