Mercedes-Benz has announced a major step for its EV customers in North America by integrating the Tesla Supercharger network into its charging ecosystem. This move significantly expands fast-charging access for Mercedes drivers and strengthens the brand’s long-term EV strategy.
Through this integration, Mercedes-Benz customers will be able to use more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers across the United States and Canada via the “Mercedes me Charge” platform. The company says the update will provide smoother long-distance travel, easier public charging, and overall better convenience for users.
From 2025 onward, new Mercedes-Benz EVs in North America will come equipped with the NACS charging port as standard. Existing Mercedes models with the CCS1 connector will be able to access Tesla Superchargers through an official adapter, ensuring compatibility for the entire EV lineup.
Alongside the Tesla partnership, Mercedes-Benz is also developing its own high-power charging network. The plan includes building more than 400 charging hubs and over 2,500 fast chargers across North America by the end of the decade, all supporting both CCS1 and NACS standards.
Industry analysts note that this collaboration addresses a key concern for EV buyers — reliable and widely available charging. With access to Tesla’s network plus Mercedes’ own expanding infrastructure, customers can expect a more seamless and confident EV ownership experience.
Mercedes-Benz says the combined network will deliver fast, convenient, and dependable charging “wherever their Mercedes takes them,” marking a strong step toward the company’s long-term vision for a fully electric future.
