Mysuru Inaugurates High-Capacity Private EV Charging Station

The city of Mysuru has taken a significant stride in boosting its electric mobility infrastructure with the launch of a high-capacity private EV charging station at Aditya Tech Park in the Koorgalli Industrial Area. The facility, unveiled by Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Managing Director K. M. Munigopal Raju, is equipped with two ultra-powerful 180 kW chargers, positioning it among the region’s most robust private charging hubs.

The station was developed through a collaboration between Bengaluru-based Epic Enterprises and Zeon Electric, and is located within the Aditya Tech Park premises marking Mysuru district’s first dedicated e-bus charging center with high-capacity capability.

With Mysuru’s electric vehicle adoption on the rise, the new installation caters to a diverse mix of electric cars, two-wheelers, and commercial EVs, meeting the growing demand for fast and efficient charging infrastructure.

The launch reflects Mysuru’s growing status as a Tier-2 EV hub, joining Karnataka’s momentum as the leader in EV infrastructure a state currently hosting over 5,880 public charging stations, with Mysuru alone accounting for 57 public and 20 private charging facilities.

Raju emphasized the evolving landscape of electric mobility: “The future will see a significant rise in electric vehicle usage. Expanding EV charging infrastructure will greatly benefit the public.” He also mentioned that CESC is considering the formation of a dedicated EV Cell to further streamline the transition to green mobility.

This milestone sets the tone for future upgrades and expansions, reinforcing Mysuru’s commitment to sustainable transportation and enhanced EV support infrastructure.
