EV infrastructure firm Kazam has announced that it has surpassed the significant milestone of installing over 1 lakh electric-vehicle chargers across India. This marks a key step in bolstering the country’s clean mobility ecosystem and supports India’s ambition of achieving a 30 % EV penetration by 2030.
Kazam’s network now spans approximately 3,900 pin-codes, covering urban and semi-urban areas alike and offering hardware-agnostic, interoperable charging solutions for multiple vehicle brands. The breadth of its deployment helps to mitigate range-anxiety and enhance accessibility for EV owners across regions.
In addition to its network growth, Kazam has forged strategic partnerships with OEMs such as Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Auto, enabling the company to support both private consumer and fleet-charging ecosystems. Through these collaborations, Kazam aims to integrate its charging infrastructure with the broader EV value-chain.
Kazam has also delivered over 45 GWh of clean energy through its network and is exploring innovations such as battery-energy-storage integration and peer-to-peer energy trading pilots. These efforts reflect the company’s intent to not only deploy chargers but also advance the underlying energy-and-mobility infrastructure for a sustainable future.
